Autumn 2021 - 39 Steps sad success!

December has arrived and as the year draws to a close it is the time to reflect on the success that has occurred this year.

In November, Harri premiered ‘The 39 Steps’ at Theatre@41. This comedy caper was tragically cut short by cast illness. But despite the disappointment, the reviews were wonderful and the consensus of the critics claimed the show a success with ★★★★ reviews! To chase the post-show blues away find the reviews below:
REVIEW: York Settlement Community Players in The 39 Steps, running until...fate intervened **** - charleshutchpress
Play review by Julia Pattison: The 39 Steps at Theatre @ 41 Monkgate, York | Yorkshire Post

Harri and the cast extend their heartfelt thanks to Charles and Julia for their wonderful words!

Harri is also proud to announce the publication of her blog post ‘Access is Easy’, which features on the Regional Theatre Young Directors Scheme. In it she reveals tips, tricks and methods that individuals can implement into their working practice to ensure that they are making their working environments and practice the most accessible it can be. Harri would like to thank Manli Siu and the RTYDS team for giving her this opportunity. Harri continues to work on ‘Technical Difficulties’. ‘Technical Difficulties’ is a verbatim play that explores the search for human connection in an increasingly digitised world. With the help of Deafinitely’s Freelance Bursary and Graeae’s BEYOND scheme she has released her video, which can be found below, explaining more about the research and development phase. She is now in process of applying for Arts Council funding. Keep up to date with Technical Difficulties via the Facebook page Technical Difficulties | Facebook
